Introducing Megan Goodwin, PsyD as the New CME/CE Committee Chair

July 11, 2023

Dear SFCP community,

Firstly, I want to acknowledge the extraordinary work of Mary Ewert, DMH who has served as Chair of the Continuing Education (CE/CME) Committee at SFCP for over a decade, and who is presently stepping down from this position. Along with Aaron Chow, Mary has successfully navigated complex changing CE regulations over the years, which has allowed SFCP to continue to offer this essential benefit to our members. Mary received a Distinguished Service Award in 2022 for her service, and she deserves another round of applause for her years of dedicated work on this program as she moves on.

I am also delighted to announce that Megan Goodwin, PsyD has generously agreed to serve as the incoming Continuing Education Chair. We are enormously grateful to Megan for taking over this crucial role, and we ask all members to please be mindful that extra time and attention will be needed to manage the workflow of processing CE/CME applications as Megan gets up to speed, and as SFCP continues to adjust to the new accreditation policies specified by APsA.

If you are interested in applying for CE/CME for your courses or programs, please follow these guidelines:

  • Download the CE/CME application forms at the CME/CE Application Form webpage.

  • Please submit your forms at least 8 weeks in advance of the start date of your program so as to allow enough time for review prior to the APsA deadline.

  • Please email completed forms to aaron.chow@sfcp.org who will organize the distribution of the forms for review and ensure that all additional materials (Conflict of Interest, CVs, etc) are completed by the APsA deadline.

Many thanks to both Mary & Megan for their essential work!

Sincerely,

Maria Longuemare
SFCP President
